Devin smiled as Braden and Asha danced. She was a good dancer. He walked over to his sister and stood by her. Her eyes were, of course, glued to Braden. She looked happy and that's all that mattered. It was about time Charity found someone. She had been single for more than one hundred years. Braden was one special and lucky guy. He watched Asha. Her long graceful legs moved with the music. Her eyes shone as she laughed at something Braden had said. She was truly beautiful.

Asha was laughing and dancing with Braden and a ton of people around them. "You're crazy!" she told him laughing harder. This was the most fun she had had in a long time. She was dancing and Braden was spinning her and she was making him spin like a ballarina too. Eventually there was a circle around then letting them do their thing. Everyone knew that Braden and Asha were best friends. They looked like they could be brother and sister with their dark hair and dark skin too. When the song ended she took Braden's hand and raised it up high in the air bowing. The next song was Boys Like Girls 'Five minutes to Midnight.' She walked out from a gap in the crowd her and Braden pushing through back to Devin and Charity. "Nice job by the way..." she said refering to asking Chaity out. He must have done something right.

Charity watched smiling as Braden danced with Asha. He was surprisingly a good dancer. She completely cracked up when he spun like a girl. He was hilarious. Him and Asha looked a lot alike. They could probably be siblings. She glanced over at Devin who was watching Asha but also was looking at her admiringly. He was always the strange on of the 'family'. Charity smiled as Asha and Braden started walking back over to them. "Nice job. You guys are good dancers." she laughed.

Braden laughed as he stumbled out of the crowd to Charity putting his arm around her. He laughed a little. "Thanks." he said to both Charity and Asha. "You wanna dance?" He asked Charity smiling still. He wouldn't lie dancing was tiring but it was fun. He looked over at Devin, a few days ago he had been mad at him just like Asha had... well Asha had never been mad at him but, now she was happy and so was he. It was funny how things worked.

Devin smiled as Asha came out of the crowd. He pulled her against him and kissed her forehead. "That was fun to watch." he smiled. He smiled as Braden put an arm around his sister. It was good to see her happy. "You wanna dance, Ash?" he asked.

Asha hugged him smiling. "I try." she laughed. She looked over at Braden and Charity too smiling at Braden shaking her head smiling. "Yeah just a second." she said. Going into the kitchen and opening the fridge. She dug deep in the back where she had hid a candy bar in a little opening between the back of the frige and a shelf. Herseys she was surprised Braden hadn't found it yet. Opening it she broke it and took two peices of it back and handing one to Braden. She hadn't forgotten that Charity and Braden didn't eat... human food.

Charity smiled at Braden. "Of course." She watched as Asha came back with a candy bar. Human food. Something that she didn't eat, or any vampire ate. She made way to the dance floor and started to get back into the music. Once again the problem from earlier arose. Would she tell Braden that she was an immortal vampire?

Braden smiled at Asha, he wouldn't ask where it came from. It wasn't his so he didn't care. He wondered if Charity wanted some but she lead him out on the dance floor before he could ask. Before he knew it he was lost in the music mostly watching Charity dance and going along with her. He wasn't paying atention to anyone else not even his teammates who were mostly drunk and running into him punching him jokingly in the shoulder. Charity was the only person he was paying attention to now.

Devin watched everyone around him. Most of them were drunk and wild. He leaned away from a guy who had staggered over to him and was looking like he was going to puke. "Um. I think I need some fresh air." he said changing his mind about the dancing. It was starting to smell bad in the house. The air was stuffy and smelled like beer and smoke. He made his way out to the front porch and leaned on the railing drawing in a deep breath. The air was fresh and pure. It was an amazing night for the summer. Devin could see figures on the lawn. Most were getting into cars. Some of them would drive away others just stayed there, the windows getting steamy. He smiled to himself as he imagined him and Asha doing something like that.

Asha had noticed the smell. Right when she walked in the house the first time. She knew no one else could smell it as strongly as she could. She had been ignoring it, but she was thankful that Devin wanted to go outside. She followed him outside glancing over the cars and then looking back at Devin. She knew he was thinking about the cars with steamy windows, even if he was a vampire he was still a guy. She smirked a little not wanting to lean against the railing just in case it wasn't sturdy. She wandered out onto the lawn laying down in the grass. "Ya know when Braden and I were little... we used to pretend I was captured and we'd make a castle out here and I'd fall asleep on the grass while he was pretending to save me from Dakota... who had captured me." She laughed closing her eyes. "The other day I had a dream I was little again playing that game." Asha wasn't going to admit that she just had fun imagining that time. They had a lot of fun when they were kids, she sat up remembering that Devin probably couldn't remember when he was a kid... how long ago had it been? Who cares? Asha didn't care enough to ask... If he wanted her to know he would tell her.

Charity was having the time of her very long life. She was dancing with Braden and he was all she could see. Just then the song "Low" came blasting over the speakers. It was one of the few rap songs she actually enjoyed. She started grinding with the music and even up against Braden. "Shorty got those apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur!" she sang along laughing. Just then one of Braden's drunk friends ran right into her pushing her right up against him. She was clinging to his shoulders. Damn drunkards, she thought. She looked up at Braden. "Sorry." she muttered. She backed off of Braden and tried to get back into the beat of the music.

Braden was smiling slightly dancing along to the music with Charity. He laughed a little when she started singing but when his friend David ran into her he shoved him out of the way putting an arm around Charity. "Man I'm taking your keys." he half joked with his friend. Then slipping his keys out of his pocket and into his own. "Sorry my friends are crazy..." he half smiled at her when she let go of his shoulders he pulled her closer to him not really knowing what he was doing. He kissed her lightly pulling away immediately muttering. "Sorry."

Devin watched Asha smiling. She was so beautiful. "Wow. You played interesting games." he teased. "I have a confession to make." he said. "Sometimes when you would sleep I'd sneak into your room and watch you." He knew that was against treaty rules but he never got caught. He knew that if he was caught it was all hell to pay. "I barely remember my childhood. It wasn't a pleasant one so I guess that's a good thing."

Asha laughed. "I was a strange child." She really didn't expect that. She sat up quickly looking at him with confusion. "You could have gotten killed!" she said hiding the fact that she was flattered. "Oh yeah..." she remembered when he never talked about it she figured it was best not to ask. She looked at him standing there how beautiful he was. She knew they weren't supposed to be doing this and Dakota would be furious... Oddly she didn't care. She smiled at Devin how was it possible to love someone so much when it was so wrong?

Charity smiled when Braden pulled her back into him. She was surprised when he kissed her, but in a good way. "Don't be." she said as she kissed him again. All of a sudden the temptation to bite him became greater than ever. She broke away quickly and dashed from the room. She couldn't tell him. Not hear and definitely not now. She saw Asha and Devin on the porch. She didn't even say hi. She just need to get out of there. She looked for her car. When she found it the windows were steamy. Crap she had forgotten to lock the car! Charity opened the door and yanked the couple out and onto the ground. "Get out of my car!" she practically screamed.
