Braden shrugged. "Yep totaly car-less." He smiled anyway and followed her gaze to her car. "I love your car too." He looked over at her Mustang it was an amazing car. Almost as amazing as Charity. Then he looked back at Charity. He smiled brightly he wanted to tell Chairty that she was the most important thing to him. He figured that might be a little much but he bet it would make her feel better and it was the truth.

Charity laughed then turned to Braden and smiled. "It's my 'baby'." she said. "Oh and another thing that comes with being a vampire. I don't know if you'll care at all, but I can't have kids. See, my body can't change and needless to say it needs to change during the time of pregnancy's. Just thought I'd tell you." she shrugged. She had no idea why she wanted to tell Braden that. It just kinda popped into her head. She looked back at Braden. She took in everything. The way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, the way his teeth were perfectly straight and white, his dark tanned skin, and his amazing muscular build. She caught her self staring and turned away and looked back over at the old abandoned house. She was always catching herself staring at Braden. In class, at lunch, whenever. He was just so nice to look at.

Braden smiled back at her. Braden had some pretty... guyish thoughts about what she said but kept them to himself. He laughed a little bit at what she had said staring off into space before looking at her. He was happy that she had been looking at him, it made him feel like he belonged with her. "I would vall that car my baby too." he said following her gaze to the old rundown meeting house. He remembered when Asha and him had broked the last part of the window on the top floor. She had almost fallen but Dakota had caught her and told them to stay away from the house. "This house has more secrets than it should." he muttered to himself.

Charity looked back over at Braden and smiled. "I know what you're thinking...." she nudged him playfully. He was a human and he was guy. She could see his thoughts plain and simple. "This may be a good thing for you, but you're not that lucky....yet." she teased. She looked back at the house and sighed. She remembered coming here with Devin when they had first arrived in town. She had a great time hiding and scaring Devin so bad he almost wet himself. "Yeah. That house has one more secret today..." she said quietly. "You do know that you're sworn to secrecy right?"

Braden laughed a little, yeah it was pretty obvious what he was thinking. He laughed a bit at her teasing and put a hand over his heart like he was sad. He looked back at the house too. "Yeah I know I am." he assured her laughing again. He looked back at her and smiled. "So what are you doing today?" he asked her expectantly taking her hand and walking away from the lonely house.

Charity took his hand and walked with him. "Actually, no. I have no social life." she said. She again noticed the differences between their backgrounds. Their hands looked alien together. The contrast between her almost white skin, and Braden's dark tanned skin. She looked back over at his amazing face and smiled. He was just so freaking hot. She reached up and messed with his spiked hair. She liked the gelled spikey points in his dark brown hair. She looked back into his brown eyes and nearly got in them....again. He did that to her often.

Braden smiled. "Well now you have one. So where will it be, the beach or the movies." he asked smiling a little. looking back into her eyes. He smiled walking with her not knowing where they were going. He saw her looking at their hands and followed her gaze. It looked a little weird her perfect pale skin against his dark lessthan perfect skin.

Charity smiled back up at him. "Anywheres good for me, as long as you're with me." She was unable to tear her gaze away from him. He was the most handsome human being ever, and he wanted her. The vampire freak. The immortal one who fed on animal blood. She decided then that she wouldn't think about it any more. If Braden liked her, she was good with that. She liked him so much. She put her arms around hims and walked closely by his side. "You're so warm...I miss being able to feel like that. I miss a lot about being...real. Being fake and 'perfect' is so....not fun." she said lamely.

"Okay the beach it is." he smiled a little looking down at her for a minute. He looked away from her because he wasn't able to walk on all the rocks and rubble without tripping like she was. Luckily he made it thought without falling. "Yeah sometimes I wish I wasn't so.... human." he said shrugging. How could it be that she wished she was human when she was so... perfect like that. He was glad she wasn't because if she was then he would have never met her. He thought of all the times he wished he could just get out of the mess he was in and go wherever he wanted. If he was like charity he could do that.

Charity held onto Braden's arms as he made his way across the rubble. He was so hot when he was trying to keep his balance. She obviously didn't have to worry about that. She sighed and sat down on a big flat rock that looked over the water. Her eyes grew a little sad as she remembered what it was like being human. "I like you real. You just seem so....real." she said unable to think of a better word. "I'm so hard and cold. I want to be soft and warm and I want to cry again. I want to do all those things that I can't anymore." She drew her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on the top of her knees. "I used to think that this was everything I wanted. Now...I'm not so sure anymore. I'm not sure of anything anymore."

Braden followed her and sat next to her on the rock. He listened intently to her and when she curled up like she was going to cry. He knew she couldn't but he pulled her onto his lap anyway. "I think I'm lucky. If you wouldn't have become a vampire then I wouldn't have met you." he said smiling at her slightly. "No one is sure of anything anymore... life is... confusing." There was no other way to explain it.

Charity softened as Braden pulled her into his lap. He cared so much. "Yeah I guess that's a good thing. Actually that is a great thing." She leaned her head against his shoulder. She loved being here with him. He made her feel like any other regular teenage girl. AT school she never went out with anybody, she never went on dates, she never went out on Friday nights. "I like you....so much." she said softly.

Braden smiled, he was glad Charity was happy he was there. As she leaned against his body he shifted a little so he could still have his arms around her. He watched the waves roll onto the shore gently as if they were singing a lulaby. He rememered when Asha had claimed the ocean was the best thing to fall asleep too and she slept on the beach for three nights in a row. Braden opened his mouth to answer her but didn't know what to say. He liked her so much but he couldn't help thinking that he liked her more than she would ever like him. "Yeah... okay I'm not gonna lie it feels right to be here with you."

Charity smiled when he answered. "I feel that too. I also feel....so..." she struggled for the right words. "I don't know but there's just something about you that makes me feel so different. Like when I'm around you I just have to be myself. I don't have to keep up an act or a lie. You know almost everything about me...." she drifted off. The only thing he didn't know was her past. Some was good, the other part wasn't. She had no idea when or how she would tell him. He probably didn't even care. Whatever. That was then. This is now. "Would it be crazy if I said that I think I love you?" she asked before she could think about it. It was hard for her to sensor things she said around him. Everything just came out. She covered her mouth embarrassed about how brash and forward she was.

Braden smiled a little bit. Knowing that she felt like she could be herself around him was all he wanted. "I'm glad you can be yourself around me." he smiled at her it was crazy how he felt when she was around, his thoughts were matched with her words. "I don't think that is crazy at all." he said taking her hand away from her mouth. "I think that I love you too." he said lightly wishing she wouldn't be embarrassed about what slipped out of her mouth sometimes.
