Braden sighed, he knew he shouldn't have done that. Running his hand through his hair he went to find Asha. She was probably with Devin... Dang... He was all alone except for all his drunk friends. He went over into the kitchen and got a soda out of the fridge and went back to the party. He figured if he dissapeared someone would notice. He wanted to find her and say sorry, that was pushing it extremely far for only asking her out a few hours ago. He felt bad but tried to hide it.

Devin shrugged. "I didn't really care if they found out. The whole arch Nemesis thing is old. Why can't we just all get along?" He watched as his sister raced down the lawn. "What's with her?" he asked. It wasn't like his sister to do that. Something had to be wrong. Really wrong.

"Yeah..." her words trailed off as she watched Charity run to her car... That wasn't a good thing. "Charity?" she called not sure what she was doing. "Are you ok?" She used to be ale to talk to Charity a lot. They were good friends even before Devina and Asha started dating. It was weird for her to act like this. She was usualy a bit quieter...

Charity turned when she heard Asha. She gave a half hearted smile. "I almost bit him, Asha. I can't do this. I-I-I'm just not made for love." she said searching for her keys. She couldn't find them anywhere. "Shit. Braden has my keys." she said leaning against her car.

Braden was feeling like a total idiot even before he reached into his pocket and felt two sets of keys. He pulled the ones out that weren't his friends and saw Charity's keys dangling from his finger. He wondered if he should give them to her or pretend he didn't realize until she had to come back so he could apologize. Finally he decided he better do the right thing and not be more of a jerk if he even had a chance. Slowly he walked toward the door, opening it he looked around and saw Asha lounging on the ground, Devin leaning against the railing, Charity leaning against her car. "Do you need your keys?" he asked her dangling them from his finger.

Devin heard her sister talk to Asha. Vampires ears were much more sensitive than humans. He felt sorry for his sister. Of course she was made for love. She just had to get past the part of craving her love's blood. That's all. He smiled to himself. Life was complicated. He saw Braden approach his sister. He hoped they could work it out. He made his sister so happy. He waited on the porch so he wouldn't interrupt. Charity always hated when he did that. But, hey, he was the little brother. He had to be annoying.

Asha listened to Charity with an apologetic look, her golden eyes where sad, it hurt Asha to see. When Braden came down the stairs she sat back but her whole body tightened ready to jump a natural reaction that she tried to fight. When she said that she almost bit him her mind went to Devin. Did he almost bite her? Did that happen with them without her knowledge? She looked up at his perfect face enhanced by her wolf senses. She smiled slightly studying his face totally ignoring Braden and Charity. She could hear their voices but it was distant, something she could react to if she needed to. While she studied his face she tried to imagine Devin being dangerous, to her. It almost made her laugh. Trying to hold back laughter considering it probably wouldn't be the best time for it, it made her eyes sparkle from the dim light of the porch she looked away from Devin smiling slightly.

Charity whirled around at Braden's voice. He had her car keys dangling from his finger. "Br-Br-Braden." she stammered. What was she going to do. Explain that she was a vampire and when he had kissed her, he had been so irresistible that she almost bit him?! It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the kiss, she did. It mad her extremely happy. The best she had felt in a while. She just wanted to tell him, tell him everything. Just not here. It wasn't private enough. Charity just stared at him as she thought. If she ever hurt him it would be too much to bare. Her topaz eyes flickered across his features. He was amazingly gorgeous. She could feel his warm heat beating inside his chest. She touched over the place her heart would be...if she had one. Without thinking she put a hand on his cheek. His face was so warm under her usual ice cold hand. She looked into his dark mysterious brown eyes. She had to tell him. She just had to. "Braden," she said, her voice calmer, "I'm not disappointed you kissed me. I'm the exact opposite of that. It's just that, well...." she paused. "They're complicated. I want to tell you everything, I really do. Just not here." Carefully she rose up onto her toes and kissed his lips.

Braden watched her lowering his hand and making a fist around her keys. Why was she so nervous? She hadn't been that way earlier had she? What was so private that they couldn't talk there? What did she want to tell him? When she kissed him he kissed her back lightly and slightly absent mindedly looking at her with confusion. "Whats wrong?" he asked truely concerned. "Are you ok, Charity?" He looked down at her with the same confusion in his eyes. He didn't want Charity to be... confused or doubt anyone... expecially him.

Devin watched Asha. She was keeping her distance, but obviously staying close enough to hear Charity and Braden. Silently he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around Asha's waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder and looked to wards his sister. "What's up, beautiful?" he asked smiling. He pressed his nose into her hair and inhaled her fruity shampoo mixed with the revolting werewolf smell. Oh well. He loved her way too much to give her up just because of a smell.

Asha had been looking at the grass absentmindedly picking at the smaller blades. She leaned back to lay down at the exact time Devin came up behind her. She smiled even though her nose scrunched for a second. "Nothing much handsome whats with you." She didn't lean into him a little bit keeping most of her weight off of him. She forgot he was so much stronger than her. Asha sighed a little bit, this was probably one of the best nights of her life. She was happy, but at the same time it was weird that they acted like nothing ever happened. That the whole separate worlds didn't exist.

Charity looked into Braden's eyes. There was just so much he didn't know. So much she couldn't tell him...yet. She sighed as she shook her head. "It's so complicated. I want to tell you. I really do, but there's just so much to understand. So much..." she paused, "that maybe...you wouldn't understand." she added quietly. She looked down at her hands. She was having a hard time meeting Braden's gaze. She wanted to make him understand. Wanted to make him see. Wanted to tell him. There was just so much at stake.

Braden took her hands. "I want to understand." he almost wispered. He looked at her perfect face wondering how he could ever get her to like him. She was... perfect and he fell short of that mark by a lot. So he would do his best, and maybe she would see that he could be good for her. He hoped he could make this work and have it not be like the other relationships where the girls weren't in it for the title or the... benifits. He didn't think Charity was that kind of girl, thats why he liked her so much.

Devin smiled at Asha. "Just talking to the most beautiful girl in the world." he smiled. To think that he could have a girl like Asha was amazing. That even after all that they had been through they were still so happy. Well, he was, at least. He was pretty sure that she felt the same way. Then again, he could never be sure.

Asha smiled at him. He always knew the right thing to say, although she was never sure if he ment it. She didn't have a clue how she could be more beautiful than Charity. "I am not the most beautiful girl in the world." she contridicted him. She was still smiling though. She had no idea how, or why, or when someone decided she deserved at least one good relationship, but somehow it happened. Her mind wandered absently, wondering if Devin knew about imprinting... or let alone that it had happened to her... and it was him she imprinted on.
