Asha listened to him singing his voice was so beautiful it reminded her of when he used to sing her to sleep when she didn't want to sleep. She was almost completely still as he sang to her. She listened like her life depended on it. Smiling she laughed. "I think I do." she said thinking about the imprinting. He couldn't pull that one on her anymore, mostly because it wasn't true. She loved him just as much if not more.

Charity smiled as Braden whispered in her ear. She was technically perfect. But no in the sense of real perfection. She was more like a mannequin. "I think you're perfect." she said softly. She touched his cheek, his neck, his chest. Everything was so...real. Her own skin was hard and cold. She was fake. "I'm not real." she said her voice slightly shaking. "I'm more like a plastic model. You...you're so real." She couldn't help but be self conscious. She was around people that she wanted to be like. She wanted to be warm again. She wanted to have a beating heart. She remembered back to the time when she had all of those things. Back to the time when she witnessed so much pain. The one man she did trust. She could tell that Braden was different. Way different.

Braden shook his head when she said she wasn't real. "You are the most real thing ever." he said. he held her close he didn't know what else to do. He hated seeing her like this but he didn't know what to do. "You shouldn't say that." he said gently. how could he fall for Charity so fast? It was like she was the only girl he had ever felt anything for.

Devin smiled. "That's right. The whole imprinting thing. Well then I guess you do know. Still, I love you more than anything." he smiled. It was so true. There was no one in this world like her. "I'm actually in the middle of writing a song. I think you'd really like it. It's called Asha." he said brushing back some of her hair. He thought back to the notebook laying on his bed. He had been working on it for a while, and he had had a big break through before he came to this party. It was his best works ever.

Asha smiled at him brightly. Good, he understood. That made Asha more happy than anything. "Wait... You wrote a song for me?!" she asked him still smiling but now it was more admiration than happiness. There was no doubt he was anything less than perfect. She wrapped her arms tightly around him. "You're amazing you know that?"

Charity smiled as he held her closer. She loved being so close to him. "It's just what I feel sometimes." she admitted. "I haven't been in the best relationships in the world." It was true. The only other serious one she'd been in had been almost the death of her. The pain she remembered, the suffering, the heart ache. She shuddered at the memory. It wasn't the most pleasant. "Guys can be some greedy, hurtful slobs." she said her voice with a sharper edge to it.

Braden sighed a little bit as she spoke. "You shouldn't feel that way though. I don't think either of us have had the best... relationships in the world." he assured her remembering what Gemma had done earlier. When she shuddered he held her tighter, a natural reaction even though she wasn't cold. He took a step back when she said that joking with her a little, then he shrugged. "Yeah some of them..." he said meanning that he wasn't. He hoped she got the message he wasn't sure how it would sound if he claimed he was different.

Devin smiled down at her. "Yep. I've been working on it for a while, but I'm almost done. It's my best work ever. The best work for the most amazing, gorgeous, wonderful girl in the world." he said hugging her closer to him. He never wanted to let go of her. He liked the feel of her warm skin on his cold. "The only catch is that you can't hear or read it until I'm completely done with it." he smiled slyly. He knew that Asha was more on the impatient side when it came to surprises. It cracked him up seeing her all worked up. Her nose would crinkle a little, and her eyes would get a hint of ornery fire in them. It just made her that much more beautiful.

Asha smiled listening to him flatter her. It was amazing that she could find someone that thought being strong and freakishly tall for a girl was even close to something they would want to date. She admired him so much it was almost impossible. "What?! Thats not fair!" she complained she wanted to hear the song so bad. Then again she could find a way to read it if she really tried. Asha was always up for a challenge.

Charity looked up at Braden's face slightly puzzled. "You've been in some bad relationships?" she asked. Since when were girls bitches to Braden? How could anyone be mean to wards him? "How could...anyone stand to be mean and nasty to wards you?" she asked gently brushing over his cheek. She pictured Gemma. The tall, tan, gorgeous girl that he just broke up with. She was real and she really liked Braden. Could that be the girl he's talking about? She didn't know. She couldn't get her mind wrapped around the idea that someone could hurt Braden. Never, in a million years, could she do something like that to him.

Braden thought how to say it for a minute. "Well, yeah... hasn't everyone been in a bad relationship?" he wondered aloud, at least everyone he knew had. "The same way anyone could stand to be mean to you... People are people and sometimes they can be cruel." he shrugged. It was true that people would do anything to be known, including hurt and use other people. Of course he had been used, could she not believe that? Pretty much everyone had used him for something they wanted.

Devin laughed and hugged Asha close to him. "Life's not always fair, love." he laughed. "The second I'm done with it I'll come over right away and play it for you. I promise." He made a cross over his heart to show how sincere he was being. He couldn't help but hack into her thoughts again. "Tall girls are beautiful, Asha. Being strong just makes you that much more appealing." he said rubbing her back soothingly. "And don't even try to read it before I play it for you. I have it so well hidden that it would take you longer to find it then for me to finish it." he laughed. He lifted Asha into the air and spun her around. The sudden adrenaline rush made him want to move.

Asha laughed with him. She wanted to hear it so bad, but she knew that he would hid it better than she could find it. "How do you do that?" she asked just before he lifted her off the ground. She put her hands on his shoulders a little scared he was going to drop her. Asha laughed harder as he spun her around. "You're crazy!" she said still laughing.

Charity sighed. "Yeah. I guess everyone has. Some worse than others...." she trailed off. She refused to let herself remember that horrible time. She massaged her temples and shut her eyes tight. That memory was painful. Very painful. "People are hurtful....very hurtful." she said quietly leaning against a tree for support. The memory had hit hard on. It just went BAM! She needed to get rid of that. It just hurt to much.

Braden watched her she looked like she was in pain for someone hurting her. Obviously the memories were too strong for her. He watched her for a minute not saying anything afriad that he would make it worse or say something wrong. He reached out putting his hand on her shoulder and tracing down her arm to hold her hand. "I'm sorry." he said not sure what else to say. "Are you ok?" His mind momentarily flickered to the party. He wondered what they were doing in there without him to intercept games with breakable objects.
